This is a relatively new breed of domestic cat is characterized by unusually short legs.
This unusual breed was created by a gene similar to the one seen in Dachshunds and
Corgis. These cats have sociable personalities and are as easy to raise as any pure
bred cat. There is no evidence that the shortness of the legs causes any health
problems or longevity problems in these adorable pets. They can be registered
through the International Cat Association (TICA) and can be shown, but cannot yet be shown
in championship competition. To begin your own family of Munchkins, you need
very little space or special facilities. You can even raise them in an apartment,
since they are smaller in size than most cats. A female, bred twice a year should
produce about four Munchkins per year. Contact us at HiView for current prices and
availability. Since this is an unusual breed and much in demand, there is often and
waiting list and the price will naturally be higher than for more standard kittens, but
the difference will be well worth the cost and wait.
Munchins don't all look alike. This Siamese Munchkin has
sleek beauty and a lively personality!
Munchkins are popular sellers and we get lots of calls for the
